Weeknotes: Work, Rest and Play

It’s been a while since I posted. I’ve been super busy on many fronts. So, today with the aid of my brilliant wife and without the need for Chat GPT, a little ditty.

I ate a Mars Bar today to help me work, rest, play
Because lately I’m juggling all three
I dashed to London, Geneva and then took a breather
In Scarborough (‘cos I’m “drawn to the sea”)

Off to Edinburgh next week, with my clients I’ll speak
About people and data and tech
Though I thrive on this stuff, the travels quite tough
By the end of the week I’m a wreck

And this new Grandad lark, is not a walk in the park
Though my boy is, of course, such a cutie
I chauffeur for miles (without tips) for family trips
To meet him. All in the line of duty.

But its worth it to me, I love it you see
The risks don’t outweigh the reward
And if all of my clients became self-reliant
I’d soon be complaining I’m bored

Whether its business or pleasure, or just getting together
We all want something from each other
When you feel that your needed, you know you’ve succeeded
…which reminds me I must ring my Mother!
